Nick Mendillo is involved in multiple creative projects spanning varied media such as film, creative writing, and music.

He earned an MA of English from The University of Rhode Island, an MFA from The Newport MFA in Creative Writing at Salve Regina University, and an MFA in Writing for Film & Television from Emerson College.

His writing has appeared with HAD Journal, and MLB.com.

He has directed multiple theatre and film productions, and have developed high school and college curricula for a myriad of humanities courses.

He also has over twenty years of acting and long-form improv comedy experience, and is the guitarist in the 2000's cover band The Carson Daily.

His popup restaurant Moby-Nick; or The Whale opened in 2024, specializing in smashburgers and jumbo hot dogs, and shows up in random spots during the summers.
